Mismatched sentences and goofy smiles
Questions that don’t make sense,
And statements that aren’t quite lies
All in an effort to hide
To cover up the effects of age – of disease
In ways that only proclaim its speed.
This time next year,
she probably won’t remember me
There are prices we pay when we choose to leave.
I keep telling Granny of you my beautiful girl, hoping that she will have a hint of memory when she sees you again…
This thief Alzheimer’s has taken far too much of her away already…makes my heart ache…
