A letter to the guy who’s the reason behind the latest phone call from a best friend.

She’s going to hold your hand, any and every time you come back with tears in your eyes even though by the time the sun rises and you sober up you will pretend you have always been just fine. She’s going to have your back, even though you have never, ever had hers, and I don’t think you need me to tell you that she deserves so much more than this. I have met guys like you. The one’s that open up, the one’s that morph into somebody who cares as soon as the clock strikes twelve. But I have watched time and time again as the morning sun breaks and you pretend like you were never even there at all. Please stop coming back for more, just because you know she’s the type of person who would never close the door on someone in need. Please stop using her because she has a bigger heart than the rest of the people you seek comfort in, and yet cannot find. And trust me, I love every chance I get to talk to her on the phone, but I despise the fact that you were the reason for the latest phone call I got. I don’t blame you for running back to her, over and over again. I agree, she is one of the best people you are ever going to meet. I encourage you to never forget that, to be thankful for the way she has always been there for you, but know this: though she is loving, and kind, she will not keep letting you in her front door, even if it hurts her more.
