When your head is still above the water but you are getting quite tired.

Slowly, over time, you learn the difference between the things that make you feel alive, and the things that cage you up.

And you compare yesterday’s with today’s and get caught up over greener grasses that are now far away.

But nothing is permanent.

So you make a couple decisions that you learn weren’t meant for you but you’ve learned to tread water, so no, this is not what drowning feels like.
