People like him,
don’t hear the words as they come out of their mouth.
They don’t see the same person
every time they look in the mirror
People like him don’t recognize
how many eyes turn the moment they open their mouths.
They don’t see the audience
they don’t hear the applause.
People like him,
forget that there are people like us.
That there are people who fail to sit comfortably
within their own form of life.
And I am not passing blame
But I might be slightly envious
Because when he stands
He does not slump.
